More melody!

Something a little prettier, its an arrangement from a great section of Thcaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet: Overture. This was a few years ago and I was testing not only my ability to quicly recognize and recreate melodies but expand on them as well. I loved making this clip except for the last note, it bothers me haha... feel free to comment guys!

  4. You're right on the last note, a lil flat. But overall, that's some damn good work. Very very close to the real thing. Makes me miss my flute.

  9. Not too shabby. I wanted to learn violin, but my parents made me learn clarinet instead. lol

Also, you should learn some Stravinsky. Good god I love that man's work. Can you play by ear, or do you need sheet music? There's another I'd recommend to learn but I can't say if there's sheet music for it or not.

  11. @arcee

I love stravinsky as well! The Berceuse and Finale of the Firebird is gorgeous! I can play by ear and with music, but for a composer of Stravinski's calibre I would most certainly need sheet music...I kind of want to look into his writings for the violin now...I believe he wrote a concerto.

  12. you're really good at the violin, mate. I could never get the hang of it when I was a child, so I moved on to the guitar. Wish I could play such a sweet sounding instrument.
